The creation story

Why EmbodyPower Exists

This work was not designed in a boardroom. It was discovered in the field — through decades of working with leaders who had everything on paper and were quietly coming apart at the seams.

The observation

Too Many Choices. Not Enough Self.

Something shifted in the world. The grocery store shelf that once held four options now holds fifteen. The car market that once had a handful of choices now has twenty variations of the same vehicle. Every category of life — food, career, relationships, identity — exploded with options.

Our brains were not built for this. Human cognition evolved in a world of relative scarcity and clear signals. The modern world offers neither. What it offers instead is noise — relentless, accelerating, and exhausting.

The result is visible everywhere: leaders who are overextended, overwhelmed, and quietly fatigued. High-performers who cannot explain why they feel so depleted. Executives who have built extraordinary organizations and lost themselves in the process.

What happens inside

Compartmentalization Costs You More Than You Know

To cope with the volume of choices and demands, we learned to compartmentalize. We split ourselves into roles: the leader, the parent, the professional, the person. We manage each compartment separately and call it balance.

But compartmentalization is not balance. It is fragmentation. And fragmentation has a cost.

When we are fragmented, we lose access to our own knowing. The body stops sending clear signals. The heart goes quiet. We stop trusting our instincts because we have stopped listening to them. We feel disconnected — from ourselves, from the people we lead, from the work that once felt like a calling.

This is not a character flaw. It is a predictable response to an impossible environment. But it does not have to be permanent.

The way through

Integration Is the Answer the World Is Not Selling You

We were not designed to live in pieces. We were designed to live as whole, integrated human beings — thinking, feeling, moving, and responding from a unified center.

Integration begins with vision. Not a corporate vision statement. A personal one. A felt sense of where you are most alive, most yourself, most effective. When you can locate that — when you can feel it in your body, not just think it in your head — everything else begins to organize around it.

The body is not a vehicle for the brain. It is a partner in knowing. When we include the body in the process of leadership — when we train it, listen to it, and restore it — we gain access to a quality of clarity and capacity that no amount of strategic planning can produce.

This is where power lives. Not in domination or control, but in alignment. When your thoughts, your actions, and your physical state are moving in the same direction, you stop pushing and start being pulled forward by what you actually want.

What becomes possible

Leaders Who Are Rooted in Where They Are Headed

The vision for this work is simple: leaders who are not just effective, but whole. People who have turned the noise of too many choices into a focused, embodied sense of what success and happiness look like for them — and who are taking daily action toward it.

When a leader is integrated, challenges stop being threats and start being information. Setbacks become part of the story rather than evidence of failure. The capacity to respond — rather than react — becomes the defining quality of their leadership.

Happiness is not a reward at the end of the work. It is a signal that the work is aligned. When your thoughts, beliefs, and daily actions are moving together, you feel it. That feeling is not indulgent. It is data.

The mission

Mental and Physical Fitness in Service of the Life You Are Here to Lead

EmbodyPower is a mental and physical fitness practice for leaders who are ready to stop managing their fragmentation and start living from their integration.

The work brings together practices and direct conversation that ask each person to listen inward, clarify what matters, and build the physical awareness and vitality to live it fully — in health, leadership, and the relationships that matter most.

This is not self-help. It is not a program. It is a practice — one that meets you where you are and builds the capacity to go where you are meant to go.

The founder

Amanda Carrothers

Amanda Carrothers has spent more than 30 years working with C-suite leaders, Fortune 500 executives, and organizations across 53 countries. She is a businesswoman, educator, strategist, and truth-teller — and she has seen, up close, what happens when leaders lose themselves in the work of leading others.

Her strength is developing clients personally so they have their own map of what success looks like for them. She does not hand you a framework. She helps you find your own.

EmbodyPower is the synthesis of everything she has learned: that lasting change requires the body, not just the mind. That vision without physical grounding stays abstract. That the most powerful leaders are not the ones who push hardest — they are the ones who have learned to listen.

Ready to stop managing the fragmentation?

The first step is a conversation.
